The graph represents the number of beds lacking at a given capacity (BS) during one week for different scenarios; it shows a 2002
simulation (yellow, orange, green) and 3 comparative scenarios in 2008 (blue, red,
pink). The scenarios were varied according to adjustable variables such as patient
volume, patient mix (i.e. acuity, surgery vs. medicine), arrival time distribution,
and average length of stay.
